Jan 13, 2011 – Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG), a leading provider of Colorful Places to Live and Play, was recently recognized by Social Media Expert Chicke Fitzgerald, for its Social Media presence as well as its successful branding of Bluegreen products and services at this year’s TimeShareWare Client Conference. Fitzgerald, Chief Executive Officer of SOLUTIONZ HOLDINGS and co-author of Bootstrap Business, was a guest speaker at the conference.
Fitzgerald’s presentation focused on ways the timeshare industry can leverage Social Media. The presentation consisted of slides filled with examples of productive campaigns. Many examples depicted Bluegreen materials, including Bluegreen collateral, websites and social media venues such as Facebook and Twitter.

Fitzgerald said. “(Bluegreen) is leading the way in the timeshare industry when it comes to social media and an overall, integrated online strategy.”
Bluegreen’s VP of Creative Marketing, Izzy Pycher, has led the Boca Raton based company’s online Social Media strategy. Pycher says these progressive online strategies are necessary in today’s world, especially when you’re an owner-based company. Websites like Facebook, Twitter, even YouTube are perfect vehicles for owner communication.
“The owners’ conversations on Facebook speak for themselves,” said Pycher. “Social media allows them to share experiences, get recommendations on resorts and ask each other questions, knowing they’ll get authentic feedback. It’s a win-win for the owners themselves as well as for the company overall.”
